Collier County, Fla.— August 24, 2016: Today, August 24, is the last day voters can request a Vote-by-Mail ballot to be sent through the mail by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections office. Voters requesting a ballot must contact the Supervisor of Elections office by 5 p.m. today, August 24.
Ballots may be requested online at www.CollierVotes.com under the "Vote-by-Mail" tab, or by calling (239)252-VOTE.
Returned ballots must be placed in the official white ballot return envelope provided and the voter must sign the Voter\'s Certificate on the back of the envelope prior to mailing. Voted ballots must be returned (not just postmarked) to the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, August 30. The United States Postal Service recommends that voters mail their voted ballots one week before the due date to account for any unforeseen events such as weather issues and to allow for timely receipt and processing by the elections office.
Voters who receive a ballot in the mail and decide to vote in person should bring their ballot to the polling location so it can be cancelled.
For more information regarding how to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot, visit www.CollierVotes.com or call (239)252-VOTE.
