The results from the US Congressional District 19 Special General Election have been certified
Collier County, Fla. - July 4, 2014: The Collier County Canvassing Board met today and certified the official results of the US Congressional District 19 Special General Election. All absentee and provisional ballots cast in the election have been reviewed by the Canvassing Board. The results include ballots cast provisionally, by mail, and in person during Early Voting and on Election Day.
Of the 99,968 voters eligible for the Special General Election, 23% cast ballots:
- 15,607 ballots cast by Mail/Absentee
- 2,694 ballots cast by Early Voting
- 4,711 ballots cast on Election Day
- 6 ballots cast Provisionally
TOTAL: 23,044 ballots cast .
In compliance with Florida law, the Collier County Canvassing Board will conduct a manual audit of the election at the Supervisor of Elections Office on Wednesday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. The manual audit is open to both the public and media for observation.
The audit requires that the Canvassing Board randomly select one precinct to be manually audited. At its meeting today, the Canvassing Board randomly selected Precinct 222.
